# Noise complaints: how to talk it through calmly

For a noise problem, the most effective message describes what you hear and what you need, without labelling your neighbour. Wassit removes the judgements from your message and turns it into a request they can accept.

## What usually gets in the way

Noise affects rest, and therefore tiredness: messages are often sent late and in the heat of the moment. The neighbour feels accused, gets defensive, and the conversation becomes about “who is inconsiderate” instead of what could change.

## Rephrasing example

**What you write** — “Your music again tonight! You have no respect for anyone, it is unbearable.”

**What they will read** (Reviewed and approved by you) — “Party A heard music again tonight and is finding it hard. They need quiet at home and would like to reach an arrangement with you.”

## The needs at stake

- Rest and sleep
- Feeling at home
- Being taken seriously

## What the AI does in this type of conflict

- Brings every complaint back to a concrete fact the other person can check.
- Removes personal attacks and threats (“I’ll call the building manager”).
- Turns demands into requests that can be negotiated.

## Four steps, and you stay in control at each one

1. **You write, as it comes** — No filter. This first draft stays between you and Wassit.
2. **The AI spots what hurts** — Judgments, comparisons, blame, threats: the four patterns that shut a conversation down.
3. **You review and choose** — Two or three rewrites. Keep one, edit it, or start over. If the message was heated, there's a short pause first.
4. **They read something they can hear** — With a note that you reviewed and approved it.

## Limits

If you feel threatened or unsafe, contact the authorities. Wassit does not replace an official report, legal advice or in-person mediation.

## Frequently asked questions

### Should I mention when the noise happens?

If you know, yes: write it in your message. The AI will never invent times for you; it only uses what you wrote.

### What if my neighbour does not reply?

You can send a reminder from your dashboard. If they never join the case, you can close it at any time.

### Does the other party see my original message?

Never. They only read the version you have reviewed and approved. If you paste aggressive text back into the suggestion, it is checked again before it is sent.

### What happens to my data?

Conversations are deleted automatically after the case is closed. You can withdraw your consent at any time from your dashboard.

## Ready to write the first message?

Your original message is never shown to the other party. Creating an account and opening your first case are free.
