Wassit

Co-parenting after a separation: how to talk it through calmly

After a separation, you still have to organise things for the children with someone you no longer get along with. Wassit helps keep conversations focused on the children and on logistics, without bringing the couple’s history into it.

What usually gets in the way

A practical question — a time, an activity, an expense — quickly reawakens the grievances of the separation. A message about logistics turns into a message about the past, and the child ends up in the middle.

What you write

As usual you change everything at the last minute. You never think about the kids, only about yourself.

What they will read

Party A was told late about a change of plans and this puts them in a difficult position. They need predictability for the children and would like to agree on how much notice to give each other.

The needs at stake

What the AI does in this type of conflict

Four steps, and you stay in control at each one

  1. You write, as it comesNo filter. This first draft stays between you and Wassit.
  2. The AI spots what hurtsJudgments, comparisons, blame, threats: the four patterns that shut a conversation down.
  3. You review and chooseTwo or three rewrites. Keep one, edit it, or start over. If the message was heated, there's a short pause first.
  4. They read something they can hearWith a note that you reviewed and approved it.

Limits

In cases of violence, physical or psychological, Wassit is not suitable: contact emergency services or a victim support organisation. The AI gives no legal advice on divorce, custody or inheritance.

Frequently asked questions

Can Wassit decide custody?

No. It gives no legal advice and replaces neither a judge, nor a lawyer, nor a family mediator. It helps you communicate better day to day.

Can the children see the messages?

No. Only the two parties of the case can access them.

Does the other party see my original message?

Never. They only read the version you have reviewed and approved. If you paste aggressive text back into the suggestion, it is checked again before it is sent.

What happens to my data?

Conversations are deleted automatically after the case is closed. You can withdraw your consent at any time from your dashboard.

Ready to write the first message?

Your original message is never shown to the other party. Creating an account and opening your first case are free.
